JEM77’s Edge features a strong bridge and Lion’s Claw cavity for stable tuning and rad trem effects. The cool iconic floral pattern throughout JEM77’s basswood body shows UV effects never seen before in the Vai’s series. But there’s more! Infact the guitar includes the always present Steve’s “Monkey Grip” handle cut on the body and it is covered with flowers for a magical “grip”. Screams and roars from the newest Jem are comin’ from the bold DiMarzio Evolution humbucker in the neck position, followed by DiMarzio Evolution single coil in the middle position and a crazy DiMarzio Evo 2 in the bridge position for a never heard before conbination of sounds suitable for modern rock, heavy metal and shredding. The 5-way pickup switch allows you to select 5 different positions and splits the coil as you want exactly when you need, and allows you to paint your sound with fast tone & volume controls. What about the flowered 24-frets neck? It is thin and curved with a 430 radius top to give you maximum control over banding and action and the scale/Length is about 648mm/25.5″.
